Delete your CrewDue account

Last updated: 16 October 2026

If you sign in with your own email, Google or Apple, you can request account deletion yourself. Staff who sign in with a code from their owner or manager can open Account & security → Ask to be removed to request removal from that business. The steps below apply to an account with personal sign-in credentials.

How to delete it

Type DELETE to confirm. When asked, confirm it’s you with an email code or an available recent provider authentication.

What is deleted straight away

These are removed from the live system as soon as you confirm:

  • Your name, contact number and email address on your account
  • Your name and email address in the records of important actions about your account
  • The name and contact phone each business used for you, including in its history of changes — in every business you were part of, including businesses you had already left
  • Your sign-ins on every device, and any notification tokens
  • Your settings in CrewDue, including your product suggestion choices

Reports you asked for

Reports you asked for can no longer be downloaded as soon as you confirm, and reports still being prepared are stopped and never become available. Their files are removed from storage later, by our scheduled cleanup.

What stays with the business

Expenses, receipts, money given, settlements and the history of changes belong to the business you worked with — they are its financial records. They stay, and you appear as “Deleted account”. Money records are never silently edited: a correction is added as an adjustment or a reversal, and deleting your account does not change them. Your memberships are archived. The business also keeps its record of the email invitation or staff sign-in code it issued. Weekly summary emails already sent to owners and managers, and the business’s stored copies of them, retain business totals rather than individual staff records. Deleting your account doesn’t settle your balance: if a business still shows money with you, or owes you money, that stays in its records.

Business records, earlier action records, stored summary copies and report records do not expire automatically in the current version. Removing a report file does not remove its record, filters or saved search terms.

If you’re the only owner of a business

If other people are still members, make one of them an owner (or archive the other members) first. If you are the only member, the business is closed: nobody can open it any more, and its records are kept.

After deleting

You can’t undo it, and a business can’t restore your old membership. If you sign up again with the same email you start a new, empty account; you’d need a new invitation to join a business again.

Copies already in our hosting provider’s database backups and server logs are not changed; they expire on the provider’s own schedule. Database backups follow the recovery window set in our hosting configuration; server logs follow the hosting plan’s retention. Our privacy policy explains these different rules.

Deleting your CrewDue account or its notification token does not automatically delete the separate Firebase installation identifier or all technical service records held by Google. Emails you sent to support are also separate from your app account. For questions or a request about these records, email hello@madovertech.io; we may need to confirm who you are.

Can’t sign in?

Email hello@madovertech.io. We can’t delete an account without confirming it’s yours, so we’ll help you sign in first.
